About
Kelia Ingraham is a collaborative pianist, composer, and music director. Recent music directing projects at the University of New Mexico include Little Shop of Horrors, Next to Normal, and Pippin. As an emerging composer, she is especially interested in bringing more queer voices and stories into the music world, both through musical theatre and classical styles.

At the University of New Mexico, Kelia works in the theatre and classical vocal departments. Along with music directing, she accompanies and co-teaches the intro to musical theatre course. She also is the rehearsal accompanist and assistant vocal coach for UNM’s opera department, where she has collaborated with them on Die Zauberflote, Le Nozze di Figaro, and Little Women, along with their Opera Scenes classes.As a collaborative pianist, Kelia has worked with New Mexico Symphony Chorus, Opera on the Menu, Opera in the Park, Opera on Tap, and the Albuquerque Boy’s Choir, among others. She has performed recitals with numerous singers and instrumentalists including Nadine Adisho, Tzvi Bat Asherah, Benjamin Werley, and Rizwan Jagani. She currently works at First Congregational United Church of Christ as their accompanist on piano and organ.Kelia has been teaching piano since 2008, and currently has a small private studio. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Hartt School of Music, and a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from Carnegie Mellon University.

As a classically trained pianist, singer/actor, and experienced teacher, Kelia Ingraham brings a unique approach to music directing. Her focus is efficiency and attention to detail while fostering a calm and positive atmosphere. She is always open to more music directing opportunities. Feel free to reach out!
